There is an Alex Falls aged 26 listed as 'male' going to Canada from Glasgow aboard the Grampian on 27 May 1911. The ship is bound for Montreal but Winnepeg, Manitoba is also listed possibly as a final destination for Alex Falls. Occupation is 'cook'.

When the two boys were sent to Canada, their destination was Brockville, Ontario.
I've found out Quarriers had a 'holding orphanage' at Brockville named Fairknowe. From 1871 to 1938, an estimated 7,000 children stayed at the orphanage waiting for their placements. |

OH's father went to Montreal, then by train to Toronto where they were split up and sent to the various farms up north. The rest went on to Woodstock (Salvation Army Centre) before being placed at local farms. There was an article in the newspaper in Woodstock but OH's father wasn't mentioned as hadn't got that far.
Might be a mention of the boys arrival at Brockville.
