Another interesting entry from the parish registers of Grendon, Northamptonshire
http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/91...nSearchResults
Mary Eaton married John Lovell in 1701 at Easton Maudit. They were both both from the parish of Grendon. I have been looking for their children. I found Edward baptised at Grendon in 1707. "Edward son of Ma. Lovell during the absence of her husbd in the Warrs born the 7th July baptized the twentyeth" I'll have to see if John and Mary had more children after this! |

I hope the vicar isn't inferring her husband had been away too long???!!

I suspect he might be, Merry! He does give a few little details occasionally.

A case of too much information on the part of the vicar?

How annoyingly unclear!!
Is the child someone else's or was it the vicars way of explaining why Dad wasn't at the baptism? I suspect the first.

I assume the vicar is saying that doing the calculations the baby was someone else's, Kit.

The vicar is inferring nothing. He is implying - we are infering.
