Ann’s parents James Orton & Elizabeth Rapley are also the direct ancestors of Charles William Orton, a soldier from Haywards Heath whom I have also researched who died in the Great War.

Ann's grandfather George Orton was curate of Slaugham and her great grandfather also called George was Rector of both Slaugham and Preston in Sussex.

FMP has an Ann Jenner buried at Fletching in 1844, age 45. Not particularly close to Faygate but would be worth looking at if you have an FMP sub (I don't).

Thankyou - PRs images are on Familysearch, so I've just had a look, her abode is Fletching village so unlikely to be the one I'm looking for.
