I was just looking actually my direct ancestor was her oldest daughter and was married in 1857 and died in 1874 possibly before her mother because it doesn't specify on Mary's death cert Jane/Jean is deceased.

Found her baptism it is her even though the maiden surname of her mother is different to the one on her second marriage.

Forgot about this

I haven't found any marriage or death certs for this lot very common name Walker.

I'll have a look.

It appears Jean/Jane only had one sibling Quinten named after his grandfather as I've found out because I have tracked this family back a couple of generations from this one. I have found on families where the father was a sailor/seaman there seems to be not many children I think thats because they die very quickly because of their occupation!

No death certs found yet.

I can't believe this woman I have now found her death certificate albeit it wasn't her that registered her own death but her mothers name on this is Betty Miller nee Skilton or Skelton! James Walker her youngest son registered it.

So I have Jean/Jane Stirling, Jean/Jane McKenzie and now Betty Skilton or Skelton!

I have now realised why the name Skelton was used it wasn't Jean/Jane's mother it was her husband's William Walker's mother's surname however her husband's mother's name was Ann Skelton not Betty or even Elizabeth so I expect that Jean/Jane's mother's name may be a combination of Betty or even Elizabeth or Jean/Jane and or Stirling McKenzie!

But we're consistent on father's name James Miller seaman/sailor.

Updated Jean/Jane's death details.
