Default Francis Izant Parsons

OH's mother's mother's father's father.

Name - "official" name and what they were known as
Francis Izant Parsons

Date and place of birth
about 1829, either in Bristol, or possibly Shepton Mallet, or East Pennard, Somerset

Names of parents
Francis Izant Parsons and Ursula Burr (sometimes Ursula Hill Burr, but not sure) married 25 May 1828, East Pennard, Somerset

Date and place of baptism - if applicable
not found,

his brothers Robert Burr Parsons (1 &2) were baptised 1883 (died 1833) and 1835, and sister Mary Ann (Izant) Parsons, 1839, were baptised at St James Bristol and St Pauls Bristol.

married Rebecca Bennett, 21 Dec 1856, Lonsdale St Congregational Church, Melbourne

confectioner, baker, carpenter ?(death cert, think it should have been confectioner)

1841 - with father, Union Place, St James and St Paul Out, Bristol (born in Country, father and brother not born in county)

1851 - in the household of William Heal, baker and Confectioner,st Pauls Parish, Bristol (note birthplace Shepton Mallet)

1855 - to colony of Victoria, with brother Robert Burr Parsons, per ship "Defence"

1856 - marriage certfiicate says lives 2 Cambridge stree, Collingwood, Victoria

1861 - living in Taradale Vic (near Bendigo, a goldmining town). Signed petition for a municipality of Taradale to be formed

1864 - April - made insolvent with partner Richard Shrimpton, partly due to long illness of himself.

1864 - died at Bond St East Collingwood.
