About 1870, according to family members in Pittsburg/Pennsylvania, USA

John Harrison (AKA Clement/Clemmett/Clemitt etc) & Elizabeth Oliver

Joiner & shopkeeper, also been told he taught shorthand & was a keen photographer having several shots published in the papers?

None found, have been told he had a headstone but was removed by the council several years ago whilst 'tidying up' the graveyard.


He had 2 sisters born 1860 & 1862 in Co Durham.
A further 2 sisters born about 1866 & 1869 in Pittsburg/Pennsylvania, USA?
His father was killed in a mining accident about 1873/74 & his pregnant mother returned to Coxhoe, Co Durham, giving birth to his sister 27th May 1874.
