Mr Evans
This is my stepfather's g grandfather and I know NOTHING!!! lol
All I have is his son George Knightly Evans who died 22 Nov 1937, Kerry, Ireland and is buried at Kilorglin, Kerry. George married Julia Murphy. I'd love to know where to start.

Thanks Merry...
I have all that except the Ancestry boards one....I'll check that out now. Yes.....George Ernest Knightly Evans was the son of the the one who died 1937. Robert (aged 15 in the 1911) was Dad's father. I just can't seem to get any further back. Off to Ancestry boards. Ta

Merry................a HUGE thank you.
I left a message on that board you found and got an email back with George Knightly Evans' baptism, which showed his parents (and MMN) and sponsors..... That lady on the board is doing a massive job connecting dots in Ireland.

Libby, have you looked at the LDS site http://search.labs.familysearch.org/...3328340#p=home ?
Is it possible some of the family emigrated to the US?...there are some Evans from Killorglin showing up that site that share some of the names Merry found on the 1911

Yes, Bev...........the lady who I contacted is in the US.
It's a lovely find as Dad's grandfather was not actually born in Killorglin. We thought he was. She has "local lore" saying that the George who married Julia Murphy and went to Killorglin where he bought a shop (we know he did marry Julia and was a merchant by 1911) was the same fellow they had. His parents were Thomas and Catherine. I'll check out FS. Why are you still up???????????
