So this is the possible baptism for John Kendall - 17 Jan 1817 Ashley, Northants, parents Jonathan and Hannah. (from FamilySearch) Presumably you already have this.

... and until we found a clue didn't seem much point going to look at any records!

Which site?

I found some more baptisms for a William and Mary in the same place as Kiterunner found John's baptism

http://search.labs.familysearch.org/...=recordResults

http://search.labs.familysearch.org/...=recordResults

But not a James because they have a son James with them they also have a Mary, James is on the 1841 and 1861 and I know Mary married a Thomas Berry, James doesn't seem to have married because I have tracked this family around the census I didn't know about William but I had a feeling and I tracked a William - Carpenter who married Elizabeth - no children. I did all this to see if I could connect up Sarah or her children on census at some point somewhere. Or find any connection! James seems to have been a Blacksmith like his father another coincidence is that the woman John married her father was a Blacksmith - a common job then I expect. But they came from totally different parts of the country.

The Berry family seem to be all over Ashley and comfortable off.

Edit: Baptisms not on FreeReg.

Well I definitely confirmed this William being Jonathan and Hannah's son he used the middle name of Mears!

Whether that's my John's parent is another thing wish my John had used Mears too!

I can now confirm that Jonathan Kendall and Hannah Mears was my Great Great Grandfather John Kendall's parents.

What is more since the records for Northamptonshire has been uploaded to Ancestry I have connected a few more dots.
