male or female?
Just a quick question - I have found someone with the christian names of Antoine Johannes - from Holland. Would they be male or female please?

I'd say Male.
Cos it'd be Anthony John. |

Male I would think - Anthony John in English, but I would never say it could not be a female name. There are some very strange names around - we know both male and females named Tracey and Stacey, Mackenzie, Jordan, and Bailey.

Val....I'd say male as well.
Just be careful expecting Antoine to become" Anthony. Mine "became" Andrew. He was Danish, but I don't think that made any difference.

Surely Johannes has a male ending to the name? I agree there are a lot of bisexual names: Cecil, Philip, Matthew, Denis etc, but I would have thought that a female would have been Johanna.

Thankyou folks, a male would make it a lot easier - so it looks good.
Many thanks for that - much appreciated
