Default What happened to Emily?

Emily Fisher daughter of Eliza Fisher (spinster) was baptised at Tilston, Cheshire 10/9/1861. Her birth was registered Sept 1/4 1861 at Great Broughton.

I can't find her on any census or a death

Her mother married in 1866 to Aaron Moulton have traced them forward on the census.

Thanks

Have you checked with Eliza's parents and siblings to see if Emily might be with them in the census, possibly under a different surname ?

Eliza's father died in 1868 so isn't on the 71 census, her mother died in 1876 but I can't find her in 71

Struggling to find so birth & death refs for this family so they might not of bothered to register Emily's death!

I at least have something to prove Emily did exist as i've received her BC today, born 13/8/1861 at Tilston.

I can't see a burial for her in the Cheshire records on FamilySearch RecordSearch, though I guess it doesn't include municipal cemeteries on there.

Hiya Jay.....www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb has Emilys babtism and other Tilston -Fisher babtisms

Emily Fisher 10th september 1861...mother Eliza ...spinster...Illegiticamy 1

Hannah Fisher 15th dec 1858 mother Eliza,,,spinster.....

Elizabeth Frances Fisher 1st March 1856 mother Keran...spinster

Eliza Fisher 5th July 1851 mother Ann.....spinster

Joseph Fisher 2nd May 1820 father Samuel mother Ann...although babtised in Tilston they lived in Carden...a farmer and his wife...they seem to be the first Fishers bab in Tilston....so maybe you might find Emily with one of these Fishers....
you say you have traced Eliza/Aaron through the census returns...IS HANNAH WITH THEM ?...if not it would appear that when Eliza married , Hannah and Emily were taken in by a family member or put in care...
allan
ADDED...I have just trawled through cheshire bmd from 1858 to 1871 and there are no deaths for Eliza or Hannah Fisher...so they should be somewhere together on the 1871 census return.....shouldn`t they ???....allan.........where`s Merry ....lol

Could this be Hannah in 1861?

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin...indiv=1&hovR=1

Also by if they are not with their mother in 1871 by then they may not have known where they were born!

Thanks Kite, Allan & Maggie.

I'd picked up on the Tilston Fisher's which let me to her sister Hannah (my great great grandmother).

The Hannah Maggie has found in 1861 is the correct one but, she's living with her mother & stepfather in 1871 indexed as Molton, but no sign of Emily.

Maggie I don't think Hannah did know where she was born or even her proper name! going of the census.

This thread I put up as I couldn't find Hannah's birth (still can't) has info on her birthplaces!

http://genealogistsforum.co.uk/forum...ead.php?t=3701

Oh, those baptisms Allan posted, Eliza, Ann & Keran are all sisters, Eliza & Keran obviously didn't learn from Ann's mistake!
