What age, do you know, Babs? Dorothy would have been almost 18 on census night 1901, wouldn't she?

She was Married in 1902 so carnt be in there wouldnt think at 17/18 ???

Her Birthday was 17 April she married on 23 Sep 1902 and was aged 19

Thanks for that Mary i will have a go with the archives again tomorrow , but the one who told me is suppose to be one of the ones in charge there as well , but I met recently the big boss of there just have to rack m brains what they call her again now ,,dam ,,,much appreciated that you and Kate have been looking I have been doing the same all over , tried Huddersield as know she lived there for while and has rellies I havnt found there but uggered if I can find her ,,
Why oh why dont we or didnt we question them more ,,even Aunty Mary who dealt with everything for that side of the familyt has gone now ,,

Phoned Guisborough reg office this morning and 3 days for a cert even to pick up , it had to be picked up on Thursday before 12 so as I dont do mornings asked how much extra for them to send it flat ,,£1-50 ,,I paid it but only as I hate them folded and its me that couldnt get there in stated time , but bit of cheek that I couldnt pick it up on the afternoon ;;

Cert arrived had mothers Maiden name as Sarah Morton , story goes she loved Stephens sisters name of Jemima so used that as she did for both her marriage certs along with Sarah as middle name

So it says mother's name Sarah Morton, formerly Morton?
