Friedrich Carl Ludwig Wilhelm Pfankuch
This man (bc1827 North Germany), was in Scotland on the 1871 census on Scotlands People, even though I cannot find the record on Ancestry or FMP.
Ancestry hints suggest that he married Emilie Marie Louise SCHULTZ (b c1832 North Germany) in Germany and that they both died there. I don't have world wide Ancestry, so would someone be able to check the dates of those events for me please? I have looked on Family Search and am amazed at how many people there are with the same or very similar combination of names, so the Ancestry hints might be for completely different people. They were certainly in Germany in 1874 with the birth of a child in Bremen. Many thanks

Here's the family on the 1871 census on Ancestry:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/discovery...w/1796373:1104 Friedrich's wife fits for first name and age with the info you have seen. I've not got anywhere with the marriage on Ancestry worldwide.

Goodness how ever did you find that? Nothing looks anything like their actual names?

I searched George b 1865, no surname, and Greenock in Keywords. I think there were 17 matches and the one with mother Emilie stuck out! (after I'd looked at the family on Scotland People index!)
