Have just found the death of James Andrew so he didn't die before his wife? in 1915 as stated on her death certificate or before his son James married in 1921 as stated on his marriage certificate.

It is the right one as his niece registered the death.

26 December 1927 at 449 Rochdale Rd, Oldham (workhouse?)

of 11 Beever Street, Oldham (workhouse or lodging house?) occupation Clogger journeyman.
Registered by Sarah Ann Smith nee Andrew(s), niece, (daughter of his brother Robert and married to Leonard Lever Smith).

I think I have found him in the 1921 census at Blackburn Workhouse aged 66 years 10 months - born Oldham retired shoemaker, Employer - Leeds? but place of work Blackburn.

I still haven't found him in the 1911 census.
