Joseph HAWKES
Name - "official" name and what they were known as
Joseph Hawkes Date and place of birth Names of parents Date and place of baptism - if applicable Details of each of his or her marriages - if any No marriages found, but he baptised 3 children with Maria (surname unknown) in Boreham, Essex in 1818, 1820 and 1823. Also in Boreham, Essex, a Joseph Hawkes had children with Eliza (1814/1816) and with Elizabeth (1827) so it's possible he married 3 times, though I haven't found any marriages or burials to support this theory yet. Occupation(s) - if any Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK) - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on (if s/he lived in census times!). Date, place and cause of death Died before Aug 1844 when his occupation is 'deceased' on his daughter's marriage cert. Date and place of burial. Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable Memorial inscription - if any |

This looks like the Joseph married to Eliza - just a couple of miles from Boreham.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I haven't looked at this line for a while, but now more Essex records are coming online I think I'll have to revisit it.

The Boreham PR images (and loads of other Essex parishes) are available on SEAX / Essex Ancestors:

Thanks, Kite, I've just been going through looking at what's available. This line shuffled around several Essex villages, and it looks like most of them are on SEAX.
I now have a long list to look at - just waiting for a space when I can make the most of a 24 hour subscription! |
