There's a marriage at Docking 1st Jun 1815 between John Howard, of this parish, widower, and Mary Pentney, of this parish, widow. Witnesses J Parker and Ann Bailey.
Then a burial for Mary Howard, also at Docking, 25 Sep 1847, abode Docking, age 84. Which would mean she was born around 1763. We should be able to find her on the 1841 census now... off to look...

Found her in 1841 but it doesn't help much except at least now we know she was definitely born in Norfolk. Also she had a house to herself, so I guess she had some money. Maybe there will be a will to find somewhere!
Docking: Mary Howard 70 Widow (crossed out) Y. Piece 782 book 6 folio 14 page 20.

John Howard burial at Docking May 19th 1841, abode Docking, age 72. But I can't see a will on NOAH.
