C 1841 Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable NONE Daughter Sophia Clarke was baptized 1 Jul 1798 Bramford, Ipswich and married Edmund Taylor 23 MAR 1823 at St Clements, Ipswich. This is from a contact and I don’t have sources so not confirmed. I have not looked at this line for a couple of years so there may be info around now somewhere.

Hi Kat,
Elizabeth SKIPPER is the one on the IGI baptised to John SKIPPER & Lydia DAWES in 1762. The marriage to William CLARKE took place in Burstall. I've just rung my friend who is descended from Edmund TAYLOR & Sophia CLARKE & she's going to have a root through her research for some details which is very good of her as she's packing to go on holiday today. All her info. is from parish records as she is the friend who accompanies me on my research trips to Suffolk. I'll add more when I receive it.

I don't think you'll find this info. online apart from some submitted bits.

Just for the record FMP have these two baptisms:
Day: 18 Month: Feb Year: 1762 Forename: Elizabeth Surname: SKIPPER Relationship: dau of Parents: John & Lydia Place: Bramford Description: County: Suffolk Country: England Day: 4 Month: Feb Year: 1767 Forename: Elizabeth Surname: SKIPPER Relationship: dau of Parents: Robert & Mary Place: Bramford Description: County: Suffolk Country: England The first baptism is the one previously mentioned on this thread.

She has found a bapt. for William in Sproughton but isn't totally convinced as it's a bit early when compared to his age at death but there are other factors which make it possible. The fact that he married there plus a Stephen was also baptised there to the same parents (Sorry I lied, it wasn't the same parents) & William & Elizabeth also had a Stephen.
Lydia DAWES was bapt. in Bramford (probably the date on the IGI) but what that doesn't say is that her parents were Daniel DAWES & Catherine DURRANT (Widow) who married in Claydon. Further investigation shows that Daniel DAWES was apprenticed to a Joseph DURRANT in 1721. Joseph marries Catherine ALPS in Ipswich St Matthew 13/7/1721 & is buried in Bramford 11/6/1730 which leaves the way open for Daniel to marry the widowed Catherine (see above) early 1730s -don't have exact date. Daniel DAWES was bapt. in Bramford to a John & Mary. Still don't have exact date.

This marriage actually took place in Akenham in 1730, both of Bramford. No exact date. The William CLARKE/Elizabeth SKIPPER marriage actually took place in Sproughton in Nov 1790 (exact date on email).The witnesses were both GODDARD. The children were all born/bapt. in Bramford. Both single 17/11/1790 Sproughton Wit: John & James GODDARD or poss. GOODALL.
