Default George Washington Kilpatrick (FFF)

Name - "official" name and what they were known as - George Washington Kilpatrick

Date and place of birth - 2 May 1859, Aylmer, Ontario, Canada

Names of parents - Ralph & (probably) Emma Kilpatrick (nee Jacobs)

Date and place of baptism - not known

Details of each of his or her marriages - 16 October 1884 at Crediton, Ontario, Canada to Emma Gumbert. Widowed about 1903, don't think he remarried, but an Ada Jane Kilpatrick appears in 1909 census with him apparently. (Information passed to me by his grandaughter, my aunt)

1881 - Labourer
1900 - Farmer in North Dakota, USA
1909 - Caretaker & Fireman at Immigration Hall, Saskatoon
1910 - 1931 Caretaker (Hendersons Directory, City of Saskatoon)


Military service - none known

Addresses where they lived -
1861 Canadian Census (Ontario) - Scarborough, York County, Ontario, Canada. Living with parents at his grandparents home.
1871 Canadian census - Stephen Township, South Huron, Ontario
1881 Canadian census - Stephen, Huron South, Ontario
1891 Canadian census - unable to find, should be in Canada as he didn't go to USA until 1899. Probably in Manitoba, Canada as 3 children were born there between May 1889 and November 1897.
1900 USA census - Dresden, Cavalier County, North Dakota, USA.
1906 Canadian census - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
1910 Henderson's Directory - Saskatoon
1911 Canadian census - unable to find
1915 - 317 4th Avenue, Saskatoon (on daughter's obituary) & 137 Avenue R, Saskatoon, Sask, Canada (on son's border crossing documentation)
1916 Canadian census - 137 Avenue C South, Saskatoon, Sask
1929 - Saskatoon, Sask, Canada
1931 - Died at 313 2nd Avenue South, Saskatoon, where he was caretaker.


Date, place and cause of death - 22 March 1931, Saskatoon, Sask, Canada of 'a massive heart attack'.

Date and place of burial - 26 March 1931, Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon, Sask, Canada.

Details of will / administration of their estate - none known

Memorial inscription - unknown
