There are a few Luke Curry's buried at St Mary & St Cuthbert, Chester le Street according to the NBI 3.

12 July 1781 but no age given

28 December 1815 aged 86. That would make him born in 1729 so perhaps too old to be yours?

There's another one 11 September 1730 but again no age given. They may all be connected though.

Margaret, tell me about them I was hoping to find details when I bought the NBI 3 but the name is so common up in that area, and as the family moved around the coal fields so much trying to decide which family is which is a nightmare. The bit of luck I had was finding this Luke married to Sarah Wylam as her surname was used quite a few times in the family as a Christian name. I've also trawled the original records for Ch-Le-St baptisms that are on Family Search but nothing proven.
