Default betawich ?

good morning all
I have in my tree my gg grandparents
Edward Ellis and Mary Tipping .......children as follows
Ann 1842
Mary 1844
William 1847
Elizabeth 1850
Alice 1853
JOSEPH 1858 (my g grandfather) I thought all of these children were born in Garston,Lancashire......Edward was b Garston and Mary was born Garston...
Marys parents were born in Woolton 2 miles away from Garston

but I received a message last night stating
Joanna Ellis b 3rd June 1838 babtised 17th June 1838 at St Marys church Woolton.....parents Edward Ellis and Mary Tipping Ellis...my 2 x g granparents.
so this is 4 years before the eldest child that I have....this woman says it was on Betawich .....so Iam wondering if there are any other children as well
What is Betawich and where will I find the DEFINITE info before I add Joanna to my tree
thanks....allan

I have just checked my tree and Edward and Mary married 1st February 1835 at St James church,Liverpool....so realistically I would think that there has to be more children...as the first child I have is 1842 ...7 years after their marriage....any help / other births 1835 to 1842 would be appreciated....thanks....allan

On the 1841 census they seems to have a dau called Jane (3). I suppose that should be Joanna? Nextdoor are John and Mary Tippin, both 70. Mary's relatives?

Oh, Jane is still Jane (12) in 1851??? Do you not have these census pages? I see John and Ann Tippin are Mary's parents as Ann s still alive in 1851 (M-i-L aged 83)

Edward was b Garston
So, what made him say 'out of county' in 1841 and Wales after that?

Now I'm wondering if Joanna and Jane are not the same person? Trouble is, there's a registration for Jane but it's Dec 1838, so is either a different family or Joanna wasn't born in 1838. As there's no death for Joanna, I guss the birth reg for Jane can't be yours. Jane is said to have been born in Garston. Do you know which district Woolton is in?
