Parents Robert Chowns and Susan/ne/na/h Simons

Siblings: William b 1801/2, Maria, 1804, Sophia I 1807, Mary Anne 1808, Susan 1814, Sophia II 1816, Betsy, 1822.

Ann Chouns [sic]15 female servant b Buckinghamshire, working in Wisteria House, Stoke Poges for a surgeon

1850 gave birth to illegitimate son John William Chowns, b 14 May at Farnham Royal, died aged 7 weeks 1st Jul 1850, Farnham Royal.

housemaid, at St Ann's Hill, Wandsworth

23 Oct 1858 married John Smoothy at Kennington Parish Church, Surrey.

6 Feb 1860 gave birth to daughter Elizabeth Louisa at Hill Street, Richmond, Surrey

At The Green, Richmond, Surrey, with her daughter Elizabeth Louisa. Her husband is away, as butler in another household

18 Mar 1862 second daughter Emily Esther, born

[Vestry minutes show that John received a quarterly cheque for £1. 6s. 3d from the poor account as assistant overseer, and £15 from the Highway & General account as messenger.]
