It's a very confusing family

George E.K Evans, s/o George K Evans, s/o Thomas Evans - who put the "K" into the family(think I've got that right, Libby?)

oooh sorry...........yes you are right Bev.

I forgot about GKE Evans.

The line is
Dad (my stepfather...still living)
Robert Vincent Evans
George Evans (who we thought was George Knightly Evans)
Thomas Evans.

George Ernest Knightly Evans was Robert's brother.

Now...clear as mud....lol

I've got masses of info from that contact now. There's even stories.

Things like "George went off and married Julia Murphy and with the 70 he got from Paddy, who had the boat, he bought a shop in Killorglin. He then gave 10 back so his mother could stay in the house.
Haven't exactly worked all that out, or who Paddy was....lol

There's family everywhere.

Have you sorted out George K Evans siblings? I must say I was disappointed in Thomas....his roll call is not nearly as impressive as his son's. Was he in the army, perhaps? Or away from home a lot?
