Default John Bryant Miner St. Hilary Cornwall

Name: John Bryant/Briant/Brian
Date and place of birth: 1723/24 St. Hilary, Cornwall
Names of parents: John Briant of St. Hilary and Margaret Rodda, (married at Gulval on 17/1/1718. William Brian, son of John, baptized 4/1/1721 St. Hilary. Both William and John’s baptisms only name father (John). When Margaret is buried at Gulval it says she is wife of John Bryant of St. Hilary. (Cornwall OPC))
Date and place of baptism: 16 February 1724 St. Hilary, Cornwall (OPC 1723)
Marriage: to Mary Williams at Germoe 13/9/1755
Occupation: Blacksmith of Gwinear at Marriage and Miner
Address: Gwinear, Camborne, Germoe, St. Hilary, Cornwall
Date, place and cause of death: 1784 St. Hilary, Cornwall
Date and place of burial. 1 February 1784 St. Hilary, Cornwall
Details of will: Unlikely
Memorial inscription: Not found

Note: Other researchers and I had not been able to find a marriage at St. Hilary for John and Mary for decades - all we had were the baptisms of the children at St. Hilary. I discounted the marriage at Germoe, because of the gap between a 1755 Marriage and what I thought was the first birth in 1767. Then on a Cornwall site, Cornish Terrier, found the baptisms at Camborne. What we think them links them together, is that a Catherine is baptised in Camborne in 1758, and a Catharine dies in St. Hilary 30/1/1780 aged 21 years, then another Catherine is baptised St. Hilary 7/5/1780, (dies 11/4/1781 aged 1). A Joseph is born & died Germoe 1769, then a Joseph born 1770 St. Hilary. So it appears the family has the tradition of naming the next child after a previous child who has died. It also appears that there are links between Camborne, Germoe and St. Hilary ????
Children: Born Camborne: Richard 1756, Catherine 1758-1780, William 1761, Mary 1765; Born St. Hilary: Daniel 1767; Born and Died Germoe: Joseph 1769-1769; Born St. Hilary: Joseph 1770, Jane 1773, Alexander 1776, Catherine 1780-1781.

I wonder if he had another wife before Mary? Was Mary much younger than him, do you know?

There is a choice of two Kate, either ten or twenty years younger.
Mary Bryant died St. Hilary buried 3/7/1807 aged 62 so born C 1745; her age at children's births:- 22 25 28 30 35
or
Mary Briant died St. Hilary buried 24/8/1825 aged 91 so born 1734 lived at the Downs.
her age at children's births: 33 36 39 41 46

but then the children could be shared between them both!!
