I went to my local Family History Centre (aka FamilySearch Center) this morning and viewed the images for the baptisms of Mary Ann Murray 11 May 1817 at Black Town, Madras, and Margaret Murray 27 Dec 1815 at St Mary's Church, Madras. I was surprised that it said "Images courtesy of Findmypast" since I have never managed to find these entries on FMP! The father John Murray is a supernumerary serjt on Margaret's baptism and a serjent (sic) on Mary Ann's.

So it look as though the John and Mary who were parents of James Henry are a different couple from my John and Mary.
Edit - or maybe not, since it looks as though my John is Mr John Murray on his death announcement.

Thanks to Ancestry's ThruLines, I have a DNA match now which proves that the Healy line is correct for my tree. Still no idea why Mary didn't mention her grandchildren in her will! But at least I know it is the right line.

Ooh, just noticed the will was written the day before Mary died.
