Know what you mean, Marg. Once there are 4 trees with the same wrong information on, they will all say it must be right because it's on all the other trees!

Thread title changed for you.

I looked those Richard Eato marriages up at the archives yesterday and would you believe, not one of the 3 gives the marital statuses of the bride and groom!

Langford 23 Jan 1772 Richd Eato OTP & Mary Donson OTP married by banns, both made their mark, witnesses Robt Donson and John Houldershaw (serial witness)

Farndon 14 May 1787 Richard Eato of the parish of Langford & Elizabeth Hazard OTP married by banns, both made their mark, witnesses John Hutchinson and John Milner (serial witness)

Newark St Mary 8 Jul 1810 Richard Etoe of Langford & Christiana Hutchinson OTP married by licence, both made their mark, witnesses John Corby and T Capam.

Interesting that a witness on the 2nd marriage is John Hutchinson and that his 3rd marriage was to Christiana Hutchinson

Yes, it looks like that to me too. It would have been useful to know whether Elizabeth Hazard was a spinster or widow, though, wouldn't it?
