I jusy looked at the index to death duty registers 1796 - 1903 on FMP and can confirm JT's entry is on there, for the year 1731, probate granted through PCY. Executor David Kirkman.
Thanks Merry.

Is it worthwhile spending an extra 2 pounds and having a look for a month? Also is it easy to cancel the sub?

I've no idea, as I've never used the site.

You mean 1831, Merry.

There isn't very much on the site; I always go for the 72 hours or whatever it is and easily get through everything I want to look at within that time. That saves the bother of cancelling. I don't know how easy it is to cancel but this is what it says in the terms of service:

9.3 You can cancel your current subscription or renewal of your subscription at any time up to 7 days prior to the date of expiry by emailing us at [email protected] but no refund will be made for the unused period of a current subscription.

My WorldCat website says there are no libraries in Australia that have the Men, women, and property in England, 1780-1870 by Robert John Morris. I see a couple of relatively less expensive new copies of it available for sale here:

Also one here:

Good job! I couldn't make it cough it all up for me. It looked to me as if these references perhaps point to a fuller listing elsewhere, what do you think?? I think the 728 and 729 are item numbers (don't think they're page numbers, though they could be). I'm curious to know what else might be out there.

If you're interested,it's available to buy (I'm tempted myself):
http://www.allbookstores.com/book/compare/1152065874
or
http://bookprice24.co.uk/isbn/9781152065871

Also, the National Library of Australia (NLA) in Canberra and the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne have Thoresby Society publications, including possibly Volume 26.

Toni, your Taylors are in here. Can you get in?

http://books.google.com/books?id=d5x...page&q&f=false

Found them while looking for Libby's Naylors. Not too sure how useful it is for you. Just confirmation of what you already know.
