Nicholas Hook
I know very little about Nicholas
Marriage 1 December 1742 St Nicholas Great Yarmouth to Mary Bush known children all baptised in Cley: Elizabeth, Henry, John, Mary, William, Rose Buried 11 October 1762 Cley, Norfolk I can speculate that he was probably a fisherman or mariner: the easiest journey to Yarmouth is round the coast, and his son William would drown in Cley Channel, but I don't know. Similarly, I can suggest that he was the son of Nicholas and Rose Hook, whose known children were baptised in Sheringham (a Rose Hook, widow, was buried in Cley in 1759) but I don't know. No will or gravestone.

Hi Phoenix
Could your Nicholas Hook have had a descendent or relative called Robert Hook born about 1785 - who married Harriet Brazill in 1805 at Great Yarmouth ? Di |

I don't know what happened to John, but Henry had only daughters and I think William drowned with his only son, I'm afraid, Marquette.
It's a challenging name because it appears to be pretty well spread across Norfolk.
