Have you got the death certificate, Morf? If so, what details does it give, and if not, how can you be sure that's the right death?

Looking at the thread about her daughter, this is the family in 1841, which you already have:

Ambrose Lane, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire
John Shute 51 Bright Smith Y
James Do 15 Do Y
Mary Do 13 Y
Ann Do 12 Y
Fanny Do 10 Y.

Children's baptisms, all at St Andrews, Clifton (from FamilySearch):
John 4 Jun 1820
James 30 Jan 1825
Henery 27 Aug 1826
Mary Frances 3 Aug 1828
Ann 3 Oct 1830
Fanny 7 Oct 1832
John 28 Jun 1835

So the marriage could be John Shute / Margaret Huxable, 19 Jan 1817 St James, Bristol (also from FamilySearch). I'll have a look at my Bristol CD's and see if I can get any more information.

There is another child on the CD who I didn't see on FamilySearch: Fanny baptised 5 May 1822.

Abodes on the baptisms - 1820-1826 Clifton, 1828-1830 Hotwells, 1832-1835 Love Street.

On the marriage CD they have her surname as Huxtable, and both are of the parish. It doesn't give the witnesses' names on the CD.

I can't see a Margaret Huxtable baptism.

Thank you so much, you're a marvel.
I have all the children's baptisms, except for Fanny 1822.
I have never found John and Margaret's marriage and this one looks very promising.
