Variants of Trusler
Having found the parents of William Trusler to be John and Elizabeth Trusler, I am now confronted with the interesting problem: John Trusler/Truslake appears never to have died.
Well, he could have changed his name and walked off into the sunset, or he could be this man: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interacti...&usePUBJs=true John Brister bur 1808 aged 65. He is older than I would have expected, but I am suspicious of the two verticals from the name above. A rough copy could have left the name difficult to read. Any ideas? Any other candidates? I would have expected him to die in St Edmunds' parish, and I cannot find any children baptised after "my" William in 1799.

There is a John Bristow, son of Samuel and Elizabeth, baptised 1 May 1747 at St Edmund, age about 2 years. I should think he is likely to be the one buried in 1808 although the age would be a couple of years out.
