You already have his date of birth - 30 June 1904 (post #245), so how can he be 50 in 1935?

You already know he was alive in 1939 (post #245) so how can he be dead in 1935?

You already know she died with the surname Eccles in 1995 (post #245) so why would you think she had remarrried?

Joseph William Eccles died in 1989. His death reg gives the same dob as the 1939 Register.

We don't know it's your Gladys. We do know that the Gladys who married Joseph Eccles still had a husband in 1939, that her husband died in 1989 and that she died in 1995.

We know Mrs Eccles says she was born in Feb 1909 (making it possible she is your Gladys) and that same date of birth was repeated when she died. However, what if she was like my gran and didn't ever give the correct year for her birth?!! What if your Gladys moved to a different part of the country and married there?

At the moment we have excluded two other marriages for your Gladys, but there are loads more if she moved away from St Helens.

The only way to know for sure if this Gladys is yours is to buy the marriage cert and see what information she gave about her father.
