They didn't do punctuation as if they did it might be possible to change the meaning by adding further punctuation! Personally I think it makes it very easy to misunderstand, but that's probably just me! lol
I keep wondering if actually Joseph BB did a bunk and Harriet didn't actually know if she was a widow or not? I've no reason to say this, as obviously there is probably a burial out there for Joseph BB, just not showing anywhere yet! When did his parents die?

Joseph Barber Brooks was sentenced to 9 calendar months on 12th February, 1834. He was in the debtors prison.
