They have said on this series that illegitimate children used to not be able to claim but the law has changed and now they can. Of course there would have to be proof of paternity.

There was a case either late last week or early on this week where they realised they had done the same family over 20 years ago. One chap couldn't inherit last time as he was illegimate but was an heir this time.
