Default A small success

Another gold star for one of my ancestors. I have traced my Wilton line back to Joseph Wilton who died in 1805 but have been unable to find a suitable baptism for him. He hepfully left a will naming all his children and grandchildren including his daughter Betty and son in law Richard Bryan. Bath record office have been slowly transcribing Georgian editions of the Bath chronicle and one of my contacts on rootschat found a marriage announcement for Elithabeth Wilton eldest daughter of Joseph Wilton to Richard Bryant of Absom and Wick 4 September 1783.

If any one is interested the newspapers are a fascinting read on Bath record office web site. It is nice when you can locate a family back another 30 years.
