No baptism found - as he was brought up a Baptist he was probably not baptised as an infant.

William was married at the age of 24 at Bond Street Chapel Brighton according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Particular Baptists.
Drapers Assistant of 105 or 115 Norfolk Road, Brighton. Father Edward - Retired Shoemaker.

William started as a draper in Brighton but moved to Guildford and went into partnership with others. By 1900 he was trading as W.E. White & Sons. The shops were in Guildford High Street and North Street. There was also a shop in Chertsey. The business in Guildford closed in the 1960s.

It is highly likely that William was living at 45 Norfolk Road Brighton at the time of the census, but impossible to prove. Census returns for the Palace District of Brighton are missing.
He was a draper in Brighton at the time of his marriage in 1862.

Details of William's burial, discovered when reading my grandfather's diaries as I found the information whilst reading about the death of Elizabeth, his wife.
