Default National Probate Index Q

Does anyone know when the probate index stops telling you where the individual died?

Between 1965 and 1970.
I'll refine those dates.

Ok, thanks very much Phoenix. It's very annoying when it looks likely someone died abroad, but no idea where!

It had never occurred to me, but would a foreign death require proof? Or do you simply mean you are looking for someone who appears never to have died?

Surely any death would require proof before you start dishing out their money!

I have two people who I can't find a death for:

Bertram Norman Grenville Cooper - probate reg says he died 7 Dec 1981 address in Wokingham, Berks

The other is:

George Henri Danton - register says he died 15 Jul 1976 address in Bournemouth, Dorset.

As well as the two people in the last post, I can't find a death reg for this person either:

Stanley Denis Fildes died 02 Dec 1973 (probate reg). Address in Bournemouth.

He and George Henri Danton were both married to the same woman, so I hope nothing fishy was happening!!

She never died either, but could possibly still be alive having been born in 1919.

FMP has Stanley Denis Fildes listed in the British Armed Forces And Overseas Deaths And Burials - died Palma, Spain. Date shown as 1974. Not searched for the others on there yet...

Thanks Kate. I noticed the overseas death says he was born in 1926, but he was born in 1915. Someone got their maths wrong?!!
