My 3g grandfather, Richard Nightingale, born 1785 Kingsbury Warwickshire, settled in Corley between 1815 and 1818 after marrying in Allesley in 1812. If you come across the Nightingales or Cheslins (from Allesley), we might be connected !

Have you considered this marriage ?
Name: William Garner Event Type: Marriage Event Date: 17 Apr 1726 Event Place: Leamington-Hastings, Warwickshire, England Gender: Male Spouse's Name: Elizabeth Clark I know it seems along way from Berkswell and Corley, but maybe either or both were working further away from home. In one census (1851?) found one of the Nightingale girls in London, working for a lady from Leamington Spa, and I presume they sometimes lived in Leamington. |

It's not impossible, certainly, although my Garners mainly seem to be clustered around North Warwickshire (Coventry/Nuneaton area). And Garner is unfortunately quite a common name in Warks.
Anyway I'll have a look at the Clarks and see if anything turns up, thanks! Last edited by Mary from Italy; 14-02-15 at 13:19. |

I don't have any Nightingales or Cheslins in my tree so far (apart from a Thomas Nightingale in Cambridgeshire in the early 1600s), but I have loads of people in that part of Warks, so I'll keep an eye open for them.
