Memorial inscription
The Vicar of Scotton, in later years, recorded some of the gravestones. I have a photocopy from the Archives which shows the drawing of Elizabeth's grave.

"Elizabeth Popple
Died January the 21st
1768 Aged 63 years"

He also records:
"faces west i.e. WNW
21 inches wide
8 inches to bottom of inscription"

It looks as though it had already sunk.

I'm trying to decide when Elizabeth was actually buried.

Could I have opinions on the date, please? The burial is on the right-hand page and is the first one.
