Help reading German Evangelical Record

Hello.

I am looking at the baptism records for German Evangelical Church in London.

I have found my relative's baptism there, Wilhelm Johann Gustav Stelling, but am struggling to get the information from the page.

His parents were Christian Wilhelm August Stelling and Marianne Christina Stelling, formerly Stelling.

I think it might say that his Father was from Nimberg, but I am not sure. Nimberg is on the French/German border.

OH, who is a dab hand with German, says its Nimburg - which is between the Black Forest and Kaiserstuhl. The ''a' after Nimburg is an abbreviated of 'am' which means 'on the' or 'at the', but he can't make out the squiggle after with any certainty. OH says he reckons it is referring to where the father is from.

Although OH is a dab hand at modern languages, interpreting handwriting is not a skill. We can't decide on the word after a/??. OH thinks the word begins with a Z. I thought a G. We have had a look at the map (during which I was told all about Kaiserstuhl and how it has an early spring), but we couldn't find anything which was a match. Sorry.

I think it is Nienburg a/W = am Weser. Compare that letter with the W of Wilhelm.

Also, it says that the parents were the godparents or sponsors.

Ah, I thought the word beginning with H after the Nienburg a/W was the father's occupation, but looking at the other baptism, I realise it is Hannover, so it says Nienburg a/W, Hannover. I was hoping it would say something different for the mother's birthplace on the brother's baptism, but it still looks like "von hier" to me, which surely can't be right!

Oh, o.k., Marianne's birthplace is Camberwell, London, on the 1891 census, so I guess it really does say "von hier" on those baptisms.

I think the last two words in the parents box are "Beide evang.", both evangelist, and I think the notes in the margin are a count of children baptised in the year and where, plus a reference to the previous child they had baptised, No 602 as Kite found. (M6 - 6th male baptised, K12 12th baptism in the church. Private baptisms are H, presumably House)
