That is so disgraceful Merry.

The default reaction should be that they CLOSE the record immediately until if and when they decide it ought to be left open.

I really feel that TNA should be informed of this. They cannot do anything about it if they don't know how badly FMP are handling what is after all a breach of data processing rules.

I've just read the TNA complaints procedure page, but it all sounds so long winded and drawn out........

(sorry to hijack your thread marg )

Not sure if I'm not grasping what you're saying, Marg, but he does come up on a search if you use the misspelling as you see it on the transcription, i.e., Gillver without the second 'i'.

And do we know what the annotations at the left and right sides mean? Something that looks like numbers and then RCVM? And on the other side A.R.P.?

And why does the numbering in Column 3 (Schedule Sub. No.) run from 2 through 11? Where is number 1? On the page image I unlocked, each new household begins with number 1.

And why does it say that
Catherine Gilliver and 4 more people are on this record
and
5 more people who are officially closed
when the image shows 6 more people on the record in addition to Catherine
and
3 more people who are officially closed?

Thank you Janet, I hadn't noticed the spelling difference. He is on the previous page at the bottom. A.R.P I imagine is Air Raid Patrol, The other, I don't know.
The previous image is horrendous, The black lines to cover living people aren't straight and cover the information on the people that are viewable. I've reported both the spelling, it is certainly Gilliver on the image, and the image itself for being mostly unreadable.

Perhaps the others have been opened since the initial listing.

Yes, could be.

That twisted image makes me dizzy! Can't quite imagine how they managed to do that.

Seeing this makes me glad that I haven't bothered getting my grandparents records opened. I can prove both deaths but don't need to see the register. I'm happy to wait until they iron out all the kinks.
