Charles Henry Moore birth registered Jul-Sep 1840 Weymouth (which was the district for Wyke Regis), MMN Mollyneaux. Another witness at Charles and Jane's wedding was a Jemima Molineux, so I should think that 1841 census entry is the right one. And if it is correct about Charles not being born in Dorset, that would mean he isn't your Charles.

I haven't been able to find them after 1851 to get Charles's birthplace, but the "no" on the 1841 census and the marriage witness being Wm H Moore suggest he isn't your Charles, don't you think, Phoenix?

Hmm. This is Jane in 1861:
https://www.findmypast.co.uk/transcr...1%2F0007790933 She may be with her daughter which is why she may have Poole as a birthplace. Her baptism is actually in Portsmouth.
