Mary Ann Ballance
Could anyone please help with Mary Ann's parents? I know she was born in Staffordshire but I've got two who would fit the bill, both b 1860. One is in Stafford & the other in Stone.
My Mary Ann m William Wright 1880. |

Sorry folks, keep calling her Mary Ann but it should be Mary Jane. Her eldest daughter was Mary Ann
Elizabeth & as I knew her, she keeps popping into my head. |

Do you have her father's details from the marriage record?

According to the 1891 census, Mary Jane was born in Tixall, Staffs. Familysearch has the baptism of Mary Jane Ballance at St John the Baptist, Tixall Staffs 19 Feb 1860, d/o Joseph Ballance & Mary Ann.
Is this the right one?

Thanks both - that looks like the one. There looks to have been a lot of them in that area.
