Is he not the one who died in 1848 according to this old thread of yours, Lynn?

There's a baptism on ancestry for George, son of Samuel and Ann Stowell, born 1 Mar 1817 and baptised 21 Mar 1817 at St Margaret Westminster, abode New Tothill Street, occupation Private 2d Gds.

By the way, it looks as though the 1848 death is indexed as Howell on the GRO index.

Also, on your Ann King TO4G thread, you state that Ann died before 1829 and Samuel remarried? Do you have any details of his second marriage?

Sorry Kate, these Stowell's do get confusing. The Samuel who died in 1848 was this Samuel's son. I have the death cert which I got directly from Windsor RO after discovering details of his death from his army records.
The second marriage was to Martha Patience Scott on 20th Jan 1829 also at St Mary Lambeth. He is sowen as being a widower.
