Default Amsterdam-Huguenots

Hello!

I am doing research on the Jewish "ghetto" in Amsterdam.

My Huguenot family lived there from 1730 until 1810.
Some Jews came from London to Amsterdam. So there is an English "connextion".

I have a question ; It is difficult to find a free forum for Jewish genealogy.
Also I have a feeling that a lot of the so called "Huguenots" where from Jewish decent. Despite that they came from France.

A lot of Huguenots live(d) in the United Kingdom and Ireland. And later moved to the USA.

The whole Jewish history goes back to 1492 (Spain-Portugal). Maybe someone is interested. I am Dutch speaking, so sorry for my English.

Greetings from The Netherlands.

Hi Vlooijenburg and welcome. I also have Huguenots from France who lived in Amsterdam in the 1700's, however I do not know which area they lived in. I am having trouble finding out exactly what happened to one of them (cannot find any record of his death, or his first marriage) so would be very grateful if you could give me any tips. Unfortunately I do not speak Dutch, so can have a bit of a problem with some of the records.
