Her second marriage cert gives her father's occupation as Weaver.

Hmmm, there is a baptism in the ancestry LMA records for a William, son of Robert Fossey, weaver, and Sarah, of Griffin Street, 31st Oct 1784, at St Paul, Shadwell. Wonder if it's the same Robert?

Ah, and the pilot site has a christening for Sarah Fosset, 22 Jul 1807, St Dunstan Stepney, parents Robert and Sarah. I was using Fo*y as my surname search on ancestry so I didn't see it on there, but now I know to look under Fosset, it says she was born 6th July 1807, and it says Robert was a weaver of MENT (= Mile End New Town). Also baptised on the same day was Charlotte, daughter of the same parents, born 26th May 1796.

Also likely to belong to the same family:
John Fosseth, born 29 Sep 1801 and baptised 4th Oct 1801 at St Dunstan Stepney, parents Robert Fosseth MENT weaver & Sarah
Richard Fossett born 16 Feb 1804 and baptised 8th Apr 1804 same place, parents Robert Fossett MENT weaver & Sarah
Mary Fossey born 28 Mar 1792 and baptised 30 Mar 1792 Christ Church, Spitalfields, of Robert, weaver, George Street, by Sarah
Robert Fossey born 27 Mar 1794 and baptised 1 Aug 1794 same place, of Robert, weaver, of Fashion Street, by Sarah

And a possible, but no father's occupation given:
James Fossey born 6 Dec 1798 and baptised 25 Aug 1799 St Mary Whitechapel, son of Robert & Sarah, Adam & Eve Court

Yes, her father and her 1st husband were both weavers (which makes me think she might have been born in Spitalfields).

There aren't many Fosseys in the LMA records and I've tried to draw up a family tree for them, but there are just too many gaps.

Marriage between Robert Fossey and Sarah Green, 10 Oct 1783 at St Dunstan Stepney.

Hmm, there should be some children in between William 1784 and Mary 1792, shouldn't there?

Looking at my notes, I did pencil in Robert and Sarah Green as possible parents some time ago, but there were so many gaps between the children I put them to one side. I'll take another look now you've found some extra!
