* Baptism and marriage details obtained from FreeReg. He would only have been about 15 at the time if the 1672 baptism is correct, but as the rest of the marriage date is apparently illegible, and their children's baptisms only begin in 1698, the marriage year may have been mistranscribed, and needs to be checked in the original PRs.

** He's named in the admon of Mary's father Edward Buckland as John Mires (Mieres), husbandman of Welford, so the wife's name is presumably correct.
