Lindsay

I think I have a connection to your Faux family I have a Sarah Faux born 1815 Watton, Norfolk (who married a John Sayer from my family). Her father I believe was John and mother Frances but I don't know why I think that to be honest I don't know how I came to that conclusion. It has been a while since I looked at Sarah Faux.

I have just looked at that internet tree but there is only one brother named John for Benjamin born 1768 seems a bit early to be Sarah's father!

Edit: Yes I know why I know her parents - I have her baptism 3rd July 1815 St Mary's Church, Watton, Norfolk, England

It's a while since I looked at this branch, but this was the tree I found which mentioned Benjamin: http://www.brianfoulgerfamilyhistory...connection.htm. I'm pretty sure it's the right lot because of the names Benjamin uses for his descendants.

The problem is, no-one seems to have found his baptism. If you have Faux's from Watton I'm wondering if I should look for it round there - a lot of them seem to have come from Thetford but no trace of Benjamin.

No baptism for Benjamin in Watton I looked today. The only evidence of a family called Faux I saw was William and Rebekah Faux with their children's baptisms for William, James another James and Amos between 1779 and 1783

I did start to look at Thetford but got distracted.

So no baptism for Benjamin up until 1799 in Watton, Norfolk,

Lindsay, I have just read an article about descendants of this family. They were carpenters, using Manistre as a middle name.

You may already be in touch with the author. If not, would you like details?

Have pmd you, Lindsay.

I must confess that it came as a shock to recognise the names you'd been mentioning here!

Hi Phoenix.

I've sent you a PM, as the emails I'm sending are getting returned as undeliverable for some reason.
