It wasn't there before, and the Borthwick Institute said they didn't have it when I asked some time ago.[/B]

Memorial inscription -

C7 26 Sacred to the memory of THOMAS JACKSON of Hebden Bridge who died Oct 8th 1825 aged 69 years.
Also of BETTY his wife who died Novr 1st 1839 aged 84 years.
Also THOMAS HYDE PARKER, son of HENRY and MARY PARKER of Wood End who died March 28th 1851 aged 2 years.
Also of THOMAS JACKSON of Hebden Bridge, grandson of the aforesaid THOMAS and BETTY JACKSON, WHO DIED Decr 9th 1853 aged 44 years.
Also WILLIAM HENRY PARKER who died June 19th 1857 in the 6th year of his age.
Also of the aforesaid MARY PARKER who died Octr 28th 1859 aged 35 years.
Also SARAH, daughter of the aforesaid HENRY and MARY PARKER, who died April 16th 1860 aged 15 months.

I've added some extra details, as I now have his will and have transcribed it. There was another son, the eldest of the family, William, as I suspected.
I also have William's will.

I have now established that Thomas was the son of John Jackson, thanks to the help of Hebden Bridge Family History Society, which confirms his baptism.

Heartfelt thanks to Hebden Bridge Literary & Scientific Society (Local History). again - they have just sent me the memorial inscription for Thomas and Betty - see above.

They have been so very helpful.

This MI has only just been transcribed and hasn't yet got onto the published list on the internet.

Today we visited Heptonstall with Julie in heavy showers. We were walking through the graveyard when OH suddenly found the gravestone lying flat on the ground with many, many others. We have duly photographed it and I'm very chuffed because there are hundreds in the graveyard.
