George Quintrell of Gerrans, Cornwall is my 8x-great-grandfather.
I have Family Historian, which gives me FMP hints and others. According to a Geni World Family Tree he died in 1669 in Congo! That was the date he was buried at Gerrans. |

Yes, probably. Only lots of people have copied it. It is "Co-" the beginning of Cornwall, I expect.

I have found at least 10 trees with my birth father dying aged 6 in the USA????!!!!
Who was the originator I haven't a clue. Do I bother to tell all 10 or not?

On a more serious note (for those ploughing their own furrow) Ancestry ranks Family Search transcripts above county images. I really have to hunt for those original images.
We were always told to go back to the originals, particularly when it was obvious that the then CFI had huge gaps, but it is so much easier to latch onto the first reference you come across.
