Ancestry DNA trees and DNA results
I had a sudden thought in the middle of the night!
I started a tree on Ancestry ages ago but I didn't upload a GEDCOM and I haven't added to it for ages. There are lots of branches, even main ones, that I haven't put on there. My daughter has a huge Ancestry tree, to which I have editing rights, and I have been adding to it. It seems sensible then she has my research and new findings. When I view the drop-down menu on Ancestry for trees, there is a tick against my daughter's tree. The other trees to which I have access don't have that. However, I just viewed my own tree and the tick then showed against that afterwards. My question is which tree are my DNA results linked to? I suspect they are linked to my daughter's tree because I have Thrulines for people not entered on my tree. Also I need my husband's results linked to her tree too. |

I don't think the tick is connected to DNA tests. Click on DNA and then Settings and it will tell you which tree your DNA test is linked to.

The tick is to show which tree you viewed last.

Thanks, Kate and Maggie. You are both correct.
Both our DNA tests are linked to my daughter's tree, not mine. |
