Default Ancestry - shared ancestor hints

I've just come across this in "Family Tree" magazine and finally I understand an online discussion I saw recently where people were saying they had a big increase in the number of shared ancestor hints. Mine was still disappointingly showing as "16 Shared Ancestor Hints" on my main DNA page.

What you have to do is click on that (where it says XX Shared Ancestor Hints) and then scroll through all the matches that it shows, and it comes to much more than the number on the main page. 41 in my case, rather than 16.

You can also get the list by selecting the "Common ancestors" filter. I hadn't bothered to try that since I assumed it was going to be just 16 people as it also shows the green leaf symbol.

Now to look through them properly in case there are any I haven't come across before!

Thanks for the tip Kate.

I've got 25 shared ancestor hints, there's actually 66 when I click on it.

Interesting. It says I have none, but I actually have 16.
