Default UK and Ireland Medical Registers 1859-1943 new on Ancestry

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/62268/

You may get an error message when you try to load the page, but if you refresh a few times, it should load eventually.

It lists medical doctors.

I thought they already had them; I've certainly seen them before on Ancestry. Is it an update?

Looking at the card catalogue, they already had UK & Ireland Medical Directories 1845-1942 with 738,852 records, and UK Medical Registers 1859-1959 with 36,766 records, but the new database, UK & Ireland Medical Registers 1859-1943 has 2,991,949 records so is much bigger. Browsing through, the UK Medical Registers 1859-1959 only included 26 actual years and the new one has every single year in its range.

I thought I already had some of them for my great-uncle.
Sadly they don't go quite far enough for my aunt, who trained at St Thomas' Hospital after World War 2.
